First Violin Section
In addition to playing in the HSO 1st violin section, Perry Elliot is a member of the Connecticut Symphony at Summer Music in Waterford CT. He is a graduate of the Hartt School of Music and is Visiting Teacher of Violin at Wesleyan University. He is also a founding member of the New World Consort, ensemble-in-residence at Wesleyan, and former concertmaster of the Goodspeed Opera House Orchestra. He tours nationally and records with the Elite Syncopation quintet www.elitesyncopation.org, which specializes in unique interpretations of ragtime and early jazz.
When not playing violin, Perry is an avid softball player: he plays fall baseball in the MABL (Men’s Adult Baseball League 18+), and also participate in the CMBSL (Seniors 28+ League) in the spring and summer. Perry plays 2nd base and pitches for his teams.
